DEEP HOLLOW FARM IS HIRING
FARM AND MARKET CREW
Deep Hollow is looking to hire someone for a part-time 15-20 hour per week position that would start immediately and run through October. 5-6 hours would be spent at the Chester Farmer's Market each Sunday, helping to sell veggies and to set up and break down our display. 10-15 hours per week would be spent in the field doing anything from harvesting, planting, preparing beds, washing and packing produce, weeding, and so much more. This person MUST be available on Sundays, the rest of the hours are flexible and can be worked any day of the week.
This position is physically demanding. Applicants must be able to comfortably lift 40 pounds. Farming is a team sport! We are looking for someone who enjoys working hard, getting dirty, and listening to the birds chirp. Farming/gardening experience is helpful but not necessary if the applicant is enthusiastic about learning. Salary will be based on experience. If you are interested, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. We look forward to hearing from you!
We have positions open for summer interns! This position would be ideal for students (or anyone!) who are interested in learning about regenerative, no-till agriculture. Interns are an integral part of the team, taking part in harvesting, seeding, transplanting, preparing beds, weeding, and so many other tasks. Interns will work closely with the farm manager. Interns are expected to work a minimum of 4.5 hours per week, but many times choose to work more hours. This position is unpaid but compensated with plenty of fresh veggies, herbs, and fruit. If you are interested, please email email@example.com with a resume and a brief paragraph describing why you want to join the Deep Hollow team.
We LOVE our work traders! The work trade position is for folks who enjoy eating scrumptious, fresh produce and want to be more involved with where their food comes from. We ask that work trade folks work a minimum of 4.5 hours per week and commit to coming out to the farm for at least 4 weeks in a row. In compensation for their time, work traders will leave at the end of their shift with a CSA share's worth of fresh veggies, herbs, and fruit. Work traders will work alongside the farm manager, field crew and interns to help with harvesting, washing and packing, transplanting, weeding, prepping beds, and any other farms tasks that come up that day. If interested, please email firstname.lastname@example.org with your availability.
